The best Swimming Lesson programme in the area - Fast Lane at Carn Brea.

Carn Brea Leisure Centre will soon be inviting parents of existing and new swimmers to book for the September term. Current learners have the opportunity to re-book, and there are also some limited spaces available for new members.

These thirty-minute weekly lessons, which last for a standard fourteen-week term, all incorporate the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming and are all delivered by experienced swim teachers. If you would like further information on the ASA please visit their website by clicking here.

The range of lessons offered means that each child is taught according to their individual needs and all standards are catered for. The age range of the lessons start with newborn as the Aqua Babies lessons are for children from three months accompanied by an adult. These adult-accompanied classes continue through the Aqua Tots and Tiny Tots lessons which are for pre school children to level one courses which are aimed at Novice pre-school swimmers.

With up to twelve levels available on the Fast Lane Teaching plan children can progress at their own speed and will leave the course competent and experienced. In September of this year a new teaching plan will be launched to include a more comprehensicve teaching plan for all the children.

Our Rookie Lifeguard courses, run by Ian Godwin, continue to be a huge success and with the introduction of the new RLSS Bronze Medaliion stage in September it looks set to grow even further. We are hoping to introduce the two final stages of this course in due course.
